Newly created opportunity working for a major retailer, based in Hong Kong to manage a team of 2 packaging artwork co-ordinators. Resposnble for design, repro, artwork for fashion, home & lifestyle brands, to deliver packaging design solutions for all own brand packaging.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. To work with the trading and tiering teams to develop and agree range propositions.
2. To develop and agree packaging design briefs that make specific the executional guidelines (within the given own brand packaging strategy framework – by project, for bringing to life each defined range proposition.
3. To manage and direct creation of design concepts, measurable versus the design brief, and gain appropriate levels of approval within the business.
4. To manage partner supplier relationships to provide the optimum cost/quality ratio.
5. To proactively manage cross functional teams (both internal and external) to deliver major design projects.
6. To manage the collaborative agreement of packaging timelines, in conjunction with product development timelines, to ensure the timely launch of redesigned ranges or categories in store.
7. To ensure accurate budgetary controls and provide recommendations for further cost savings.
8. To manage cross function teams in order to ensure the consistent application of brand values & the accuracy of packaging on shelf.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Experience in FMCG packaging with proven success in the market is essential
In depth knowledge of the packaging design process from formulation of brief through to print.
Thorough understanding of Marketing as a whole, as well as the role of Packaging within the mix.
Proven skills in leading cross-functional teams to deliver against set criteria.
Impact & influence skills.
Ability to communicate at all levels on all design related issues in a clear, relevant and influential style.
Financial awareness, budgetary control skills and negotiation skills.
Project Management skills.
Conceptual and analytical skills.
Computer literate on Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint.
