Job Description

The Pack Change Coordinator is a key point of contact with regard to processes and iinformation, the documentation (PCN's and artwork) are business critical documents which enable a launch to take place. The PCC reports to the Pack Change Manager & works closely with the Brand Activity Management team.

Job purpose:

1.To produce effective accurate Packaging PCN’s (Pack Component Notes) and specifications for leading global bbrands.

2.Manage the production of technical artwork

3.Liaise with Site Logistics and Marketing to ensure that sites are aware of the impact on the NPI (New Product Introduction) process to enable sites to accommodate the Marketing needs.

4.To support selected Packaging Development activities in particular where they will impact artwork.

5.To support all stages of the Pack Change Request from Design Brief approval (owned by Brand Marketing) through to the artwork files at the printer for specific brands including technical sign-off.

6.To be able to cover for PCM when away on holiday, sickness and business. Vital as artwork process is very timeline critical to the category business.

7.Raise, check, approve and distribute BOMs and PCNs for sign off by Markets.

8. Understanding of the requirements for the handling of compliance documents and their contribution to regulatory requirements.

9. Accountable for raising and distributing packaging material specifications from information provided by technical team for use by Supply Chain and 3rd party suppliers.

10.Raise Pack Code Request form with Product Database to get new SKUs listed

11.Brief Repro Agency on artwork creation completing technical sections including allocating artwork Copy Codes. Also marketing sections in conjunction with PCM.

12.Maintain the Standard Samples Library of printed packaging components and ensure issue to own Supply Chain and Market contacts when approved.

13.Manage the artwork generation process for the Market, check and sign off all aspects of the work against business requirements, formal specifications and approvals.

14.Account Manage day to day and strategic relationships with 3rd party suppliers: Artwork Providers and Component Suppliers. Includes organising pre-production meetings with printers to ensure designs are print compatible

15.Provide advice and guidance to Planning teams by answering queries on NPI/artwork/documentation and related issues

16.On projects selected by Line Manager, provide advice and guidance to the business on packaging requirements throughout all stages of the packaging development process.

17.Has the authority to withdraw an artwork from circulation if an error is identified. This could stop production and have significant financial implications.

18.Helps resolves all technical queries on artwork from suppliers and markets independently. Detailed packaging development queries would be escalated to a Packaging Development Manager or Technologist
