Job Description

Project management position where previous experience of multiple line project management experience is key. The successful candidate will work along side a successful packaging team.

This demanding role requires an individual with proven presentation and communication skills, who can illustrate their experience in cradle to grave project management, with an ability to work in the FMCG sector. Preferably you are already from either the retail / FMCG markets or print / packaging industry.

Main Responsibilities

Client Management

• Build and sustain a strong relationship with the Design Team. Work as a liaison between the design team and commercial categories always ensuring corporate brand values are upheld.
• Maintain a strong client relationship within the category. Act as a point of contact for category personnel assigned to project ranges within your control.
• Attend category and supplier studio tours as required, with the support of Account Manager.
• Be able to troubleshoot issues and keep client updated and informed of any corrective action with support of the Account Manager.

Range Management

• Own and be responsible for ensuring that all artwork projects are managed in a professional manner.
• Create and manage critical paths according to the clients launch schedule and knowledge of print lead times.
• Organise and attend design concept approval meetings for all new ranges and re-designs.
• Build a relationship with leading design agency contacts. Ensure that cutters are sent in a timely fashion.
• Manage the wet-proofing process for ranges within your control. Ensure that the brief for wet proofing is clear to the studio and the timings are agreed with the client.
• Arrange and attend pre-production meetings with suppliers, printers, category and pre-production technician. Ensure any concerns with the printability of the design are raised clearly and in writing to the category.
• Organise and attend hero master briefings at the studio. Ensure the brand concept is communicated clearly to studio contacts.
• Work with the brand guardian and on-site production manager to ensure that range reviews are carried out on all new designs. Attend range reviews in person as required.
• Arrange and chair artwork sign off meetings.
• Build project ranges on design.com and manage the artwork approval process. Chase outstanding comments as required. Gain agreement on an approved artwork to take forward to repro.
• Work with pre-production department with regards to press passing requirements.
• Work with suppliers to ensure printed samples are submitted after press runs for approval.
